Open Group Classes
Open Group Classes are held on Wednesday and Friday evenings from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and will consist of basic level steps in the standard ballroom dances: Fox Trot, Waltz, Swing, Cha Cha, Rumba, and Salsa. For more advanced work in a group class situation, see our Intermediate and Intermediate/Advanced schedule of classes.
Intermediate classes are held on Friday evenings from 8:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. and will build off of the steps learned in the Open Group Classes. This class will consist of intermediate steps in Fox Trot, Waltz, Swing, Cha Cha, Rumba and Salsa.
Intermediate/Advanced Group Classes
Intermediate/Advanced courses are designed for more experienced dancers. They are offered on Wednesdays from 8:00pm to 9:00pm. If you have taken our open sessions for one or two rotations, or have studied dance elsewhere, you may be ready for a more advanced class. Intermediate/Advanced Courses are not designed to teach you to dance. They are designed to expose you to new steps and patterns. You must have a foundation of basic steps and you must be able to keep up with the majority of the class. If you are not sure if you belong in an Int/Adv Course, please check with one of the instructors. Avoid the embarrassment of being asked to move to a beginning class. Partners are not necessary, but helpful. Women who come as singles should expect to learn both leader and follower parts.
Students who purchase pre-paid punch cards for the intermediate and intermediate/advanced class may attend the 7:00 Open Group Class on the same night free of charge for review and extra practice.
